Submit only 1 of the following specimens:
Specimen Type: Spinal fluid
Container/Tube: Screw-capped, sterile vial
Specimen Volume: 3 mL
Additional Information: Properly collected spinal fluid may be refrigerated at 2° C to 8° C, or frozen at -20° C for up to 1 week before testing.
Specimen Type: Urine
Container/Tube: Plain, screw-top container
Specimen Volume: Entire collection
Collection Instructions:
1. Collect a random urine specimen.
2. No preservative.
Additional Information:
1. Boric acid may be used as a preservative.
2. Urine may be stored at 2° C to 8° C, or frozen at -10° C to -20° C for up to 14 days before testing.
