Specimen Requirements

Have patient report to Trinity Health Grand HavenLaboratory.

 

If Rh immune globulin given in office, draw a blood specimen as follows:

 

Specimen Type: Whole blood
Container/Tube: Lavender top (EDTA)

Specimen Volume: 3 mL

Collection Instructions:

1. Label specimen with patient’s name, date of birth or medical record number (MRN), date and time of draw, and initials of collector.

2. Indicate antepartum or postpartum on requisition.
