Specimen Type: Nipple discharge

Container/Tube: Slide

Specimen Volume: Entire specimen

Collection Instructions:

1. Using a lead pencil, label frosted end of a glass slide with patient’s name.
2. Place nipple discharge on slide.
3. Spray immediately with spray fixative.
4. Place slides in a transport container.

5. Label container with patient’s name (first and last), date and time of collection, and type of specimen.
