This test simultaneously screens for antibodies to HIV 1 (including group M and O) and/or HIV2, and HIVp24 antigen.

Reference Values

Negative- (This HIV screening test exhibits low sensitivity for the first 60 days of an HIV infection. If an early HIV infection is suspected, please consider ordering HIV-1 PCR Qualitative testing.)

 

Preliminary Positive- All preliminary positives will be sent out for confirmatory testing by Western Blot.
