High Relative Risk: 3.1-10.0 mg/L
Consider retesting in 1 to 2 weeks to exclude a transient elevation secondary to infection/inflammation.
Acute phase Response: >10.0 mg/L
Ideally for cardiovascular risk assessment, valves should be measured twice and averaged.
Values >10mg/L are suggestive of a systemic inflammatory response and should be retested in 2 weeks after the inflammatory response has resolved.
